October 30th, 2012

(Monona) Democratic State Assembly candidate Robb Kahl is honored to receive the endorsement of the United Auto Workers in his campaign for the newly configured 47th Assembly District.  UAW made the endorsement after it compared candidates and determined Kahl has the values and experience that working families in Wisconsin need during these difficult economic times.

“The men and women of the UAW are leading the way in restoring the economy of Wisconsin and the United States,” Kahl stated.  “The members who work in the Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement industries create the best products in the world and constantly strive to make America stronger not just by doing the best job possible, but by supporting candidates for office that will do the best job possible for Wisconsin and America.  I want to thank UAW members for their support and vote of confidence.”

“I have been endorsed by a wide array of professionals, businesses, labor unions and individual office holders at the state and local levels,” Kahl stated. “Although these groups and individuals may hold divergent views on issues, the one thing they have in common is the strong desire to have office holders that will not engage in petty partisan politics and instead work toward one common goal – to keep Wisconsin a great place to own a business, work, live, and raise a family.”

Kahl is part-owner of a small business in Monona, executive director for a non-profit organization representing the common interests of management and union labor in the construction industry, and serves on various other business and community boards.

Kahl and his wife Jennifer have been married for 15 years and have four children. Both Robb and Jennifer are active members of their community, volunteering their time to coach youth sports, serve on various city and school committees, and lead fundraising efforts for civic and school causes.
