(MONONA)   Former Monona Mayor and Democratic candidate Robb Kahl announced that he has received the endorsement of Wisconsin Progress in his campaign for State Assembly in the 47th District.

“As the former Mayor of Monona, Robb Kahl understands how decisions made in the State Assembly affect local communities,” Scott Spector, Executive Director of Wisconsin Progress, said. “Robb shares our progressive values and will bring them to the State Assembly.”

Founded in 2009, Wisconsin Progress is a state-based candidate recruitment and training program, responsible for building a progressive network of elected leaders at the local and state level.

“I would like to thank Wisconsin Progress for their support of my campaign. Building a strong network of progressive leaders in Wisconsin is essential and I support the work they are doing,” said Kahl.

Robb and Jennifer Kahl are raising their four children in Monona where they are actively involved in various community and school committees and boards, coaching youth sports teams and spearheading community fundraising efforts. Robb looks forward to expanding his public service by putting the knowledge and skills gained in his private and public sector experience to work for the people of the 47th Assembly District.

Over 60 community leaders and organizations have endorsed Robb Kahl for Assembly in the 47th District.

The newly configured 47th Assembly District includes all of McFarland and Monona; part of the cities of Fitchburg and Madison; and all or part of the towns of Cottage Grove, Blooming Grove, Dunn and Madison.
